The top 20 highest-earning baby names have now been revealed.

There are lots of factors to consider when choosing a name for a child by soon-to-be parents.

Choosing a baby names is something that is not taken lightly, so if you’re expecting this year you may want to consider earning power to the list.

New research released by Moneyboat.com has revealed the top 20 baby names that are destined to receive the highest salary as adults.

The site used the Office for National Statistics (ONS) data to collate a list of the most popular baby names in England and Wales over the past 20 years. It then calculated the potential salary for each name using the ValueMyName tool.

Research shows girls named Nancy are associated with an average salary of £33,192, the ECHO reports.

Closely followed by the name Heidi with an average salary of £33,127.

The name Penelope came in third place with an average of £31,155. In fourth place is the name Lily and then Anna, with an average salary of £30,821 and £30,522.

For boys, the name Ralph is the highest earning name with an average of £56,144 – a full 69 per cent higher than the average salary of Nancy – judged as the highest potential earning name for a girl.

Michael is in second place with an average salary of £53,572, followed by Albert in third place with an average salary of £45,224.

Lastly, in fourth and fifth place are the names Stanley and Bobby with the average salaries of £44,327 and £43,319 respectively.
